Dear Parents, People ask, “Didn’t I already give the PTO a
contribution this year?” The answer is probably yes but tax credit is
different from your PTO contribution. Your PTO donation is tax deductible
and you claim it under charitable contributions on your tax form. The Kids
Credit is a tax credit and you claim it at the end as a direct credit back
to you. You contribute to Laguna and then you get it back from Uncle Sam.
Clever and smart! If you have not contributed yet please consider doing so
by the end of the calendar year. See the information on the
right… I wish you a happy new year and a safe winter break! Sincerely, Dr. Root |
Kids
Credit Do you want to fund the pockets of IRS or Laguna
school? Tax credit continues through December
31st. You can go online to complete your contribution on our
school website www.susd.org/laguna or the
district website www.susd.org . You can
also mail the check to Laguna or write the check by December 31st and drop
it off at school January 7th. Tax credit pays for all the enrichment classes and
programs we run at Laguna so we do not have to charge families and
everyone can participate. | |||
