Duchenne Muscular
Dystrophy Fundraiser Please help the student council in its support of this worthy cause, by sending in loose change with your child. Donations will be accepted in each classroom from January 28-February 8. All proceeds will go to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (parentprojectmd.org) to aid in the search for a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne is a degenerative neuromuscular disorder that affects approximately 1 boy in every 3,000, one of them being Augie Chotkowski, a 5th grade student in Mrs. Quisberg's class here at Laguna. |

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona and Laguna are sponsoring an ongoing clothing drive. Place your gently used clothing and shoes in the designated BBBS Clothing Bin in the parking lot. Your tax deductible contribution supports your school and Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs (receipts mailed upon request). The school also benefits when you donate because BBBS pays back $1 for every 23 pounds collected. We are competing with the other Scottsdale Schools to win a $100 cash prize which will be awarded at the end of the year to the highest producing school! For more information or questions, call (602)230-8900. |
