Science Fair

It’s TIME! We are very excited about our upcoming Science Fair. We will be displaying our exhibits early spring, Wednesday, February 27. We are all getting ready and growing in our excitement of what is to come. All Laguna students will be participating by class assignment for lower grades (PreK-3rd) and or individual projects. Fourth and fifth grade students will be required to submit an individual project as part of their Science curriculum.

Science Fair packets will be sent out the week of December 10th. Please look for them in your student’s backpacks and get ready to explore the possibilities. We  will be supporting you and your students through the process with web links and any brainstorming questions  you may need with these packets. If you need any

additional assistance, and or would like to help with the Science Fair please contact Lydia Nielsen in the Science Lab room 301. We are sending out a Thank you to

Parents who are already coming forward to help with the Science Fair. We have so much to do and lots of help is needed. Please see your classroom teacher if you are able

to assist. Prizes and awards will be presented February

27th. Looking forward to working together and also in assisting in molding of our very own Einsteins here at Laguna!   Thank you! The Science Fair Committee

Laguna’s Spelling Bee Winner

After 40 rounds of very tough competition Laguna’s Spelling Bee winner is fifth grader from Mrs. Quisberg’s class, Noah Goldstein!  Fifth grader Abbey Colorafi came in 2nd place and we had a tie for 3rd place between Fourth grader, Anne Hanson and Fifth grader, Alex Leiphart.  What an amazing competition!  After Noah correctly spelled the word sausage he clinched the win with the word fury.  Congratulations to all our Spelling Bee Representatives and to Noah Goldstein who will represent Laguna at the Scottsdale Unified School District Spelling Bee on January 15, 2008!  Go Noah!
