 Return those Overdue library Books!

Please Help Us!

Please help your child in the area of responsibility and remind them to return their library books on time or renew them if they need to keep the book longer then two weeks.  The Laguna Library has many students who cannot check-out books due to overdue materials or missing books.  When this happens those overdue and missing books become unavailable to the rest of the students at Laguna.  If the book is lost, then please send in cash/check to replace the book.  If you find the book after you have paid for it, we will refund your money.  Please check your child’s backpack/Friday folder today for overdue library notices which we print every Friday.  These notices are printed and placed in teacher’s mailboxes to be distributed to students.

Thank youJ

From the PTO President

I want take this opportunity to thank the many committee chairs-persons, PTO volunteers and donors who make our numerous programs and activities happen, and happen with pizzazz.  Thank you all for your support.

This week was Teacher Appreciation week, and you all helped make our teachers and staff members feel appreciated.  Thank you Stephanie Murphy and Mary Jacobellis and the teacher appreciation team for a great week.  A big thank you goes out to Mary Ann Zillwood and Lisa Hall who have done a phenomenal job with our hospitality events this year including the amazing Tuscan Lunch during Teacher Appreciation week.

Our Box Tops Moms, Leslee Kelly and Karen Mongan, continue to make our Box Tops program a fundraising success and better yet a fun activity for everyone.  Watch for the New Book Fair next week.  Michelle Smith and hear team of volunteers are sure to impress with their events and book selection. We introduced some new activities and family fun nights with Geralyn Taffuri who manages our quarterly fundraisers.  We have more fun events planned this spring.  Mindy Hess, Stacey Muto, and Stephanie Schouten and our auction volunteers have a wonderful evening planned on April 11 at Monterra at Westworld.  Mark your calendars: you surely don’t miss out on a wonderful evening of fun and bidding.

Our Board continues to work hard to keep the PTO running smoothly.  Many positions will be open next year, including President.  Please let me know if you would like more information about being on the PTO Executive Board or our Committee Chair positions.

Thank you again.  Diane Babbitt, dcbabbitt1961@yahoo.com

It Was A Fabulous Week…

Thank you to all the parents who made the teachers feel so appreciated last week. The door decorations were incredible, the flowers brightened every classroom and every staff member enjoyed the week-long treats. The community went above and beyond to recognize the dedication of all our staff members. We are so grateful to have a community that truly appreciates all that we do to help your children succeed!

With Much Appreciation,

The entire Laguna Staff

PARKING LOT TRIVIA

Did you know that the Laguna Pre-K program runs from 8:30 to 2:15 so that the Pre-K parents can park to drop off and pick up their little ones?  State law requires that parents sign these youngsters in and out personally in the classroom.

Give these folks a hand and if you arrive before 2:20 to pick up your child in the front circle, please pull as far to the right as possible in the pick-up lane so that they can get by you to park so that they can walk in and sign out their kids.  With your help, they’ll be long gone before the final bell rings at 2:45!
